It requires discipline—limiting food\, distractions\, and worldly influences—while dedicating time to prayer\, scripture\, and helping others. Generosity\, dignity\, and unity are key to a meaningful fast\, and participation in church gatherings strengthens our spiritual connection. Fasting brings powerful benefits: heightened sensitivity to God\, freedom from fleshly appetites\, preparedness for challenges\, clearer direction\, and greater manifestation of God’s power. Scripture promises revelation\, accelerated health\, favor\, answered prayers\, divine guidance\, victory over the enemy\, and blessings for our households.
