This message explores the power of our words in either partnering with God or delaying His promises. In Luke 1, we see the story of Zechariah—a priest who receives a divine message from the angel Gabriel that his prayers have been answered: his wife Elizabeth will bear a son, John. Despite being in a holy place doing holy work, Zechariah responds with doubt rather than belief. His questioning leads to silence—God literally shuts his mouth until the promise is fulfilled.
Don’t let your mouth cancel what your prayers have been asking for. When you can’t speak in faith, it’s better to be quiet and trust that God is still working
