There’s No Hot Water
Scripture: Matthew 6:9-12, James 3:9-12
In this powerful message, we were challenged to examine the connection between our mouths and our faith. Drawing from James 3 and the Lord’s Prayer, Pastor Andy reminded us that praise and negativity should not flow from the same source. Just as hot and cold water shouldn’t come from the same spring, our words should consistently reflect the God we serve.
Jesus gave us a template for keeping the “hot water” flowing through prayer: honoring God, pursuing His Kingdom, trusting Him for provision, embracing forgiveness, and walking in self-awareness. When our prayer life is strong, our words and actions align with God’s power. The question isn’t whether there’s power available—it’s whether we’re keeping the hot water flowing.
