Scripture: Mark 4:35–5:1

Pastor John teaches from Mark 4:35–41 that the storm was never the real issue — forgetting what Jesus already said was. Before the wind ever blew, Jesus declared, “Let us cross over to the other side,” proving that His command carried a guarantee. The disciples’ fear didn’t make them doubt His power; it made them question His heart.

Believers often forget God’s last word through deception, distraction, defiance, drifting, and disturbance — allowing circumstances to speak louder than Scripture. The cure is remembrance: trusting who God was before the storm, choosing quiet confidence over panic, and holding onto faith that outlasts the moment. If He said you’re going to the other side, the storm cannot cancel the destination.
