Scripture: Ephesians 3:14-19, Luke 2:46-52
On Mother’s Day at World Overcomers Christian Church, the message “Momma Made Me” reflected on the often-overlooked ways mothers shape, strengthen, and prepare us for life. Drawing from Ephesians 3:14-19 and Luke 2:46-52, we explored how correction, patience, questions, and even challenges all play a role in our growth. Just as Jesus grew in wisdom, stature, and favor, we are also “made” through the people and places God uses in our lives — including mothers, family, challenges, school, and especially the Church. The Church serves as a spiritual mother, helping believers know their identity, become internally empowered, stay rooted in love, and grow into the fullness of who God created them to be.
