I Got The Keys

In “I Got the Keys,” Pastor Andy Thompson reminded us that God has given His people keys—not just to unlock doors, but to walk in authority, freedom, purpose, and opportunity. Drawing from Matthew 16:19, he explained that keys represent access and responsibility, and challenged us to stop settling for limitation when God desires to expand our influence. Jesus’ promise that “whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven” reminds us that faith requires action. As we step out in obedience, pursue opportunities, and take responsibility in the natural, God moves on our behalf in the spiritual.

Pastor Andy also introduced a series of practical “keys” that help unlock the life God has called us to live, including knowing your purpose, building resilience, managing your words and emotions, stewarding money wisely, finding balance, and learning how to finish what you start. He closed with a powerful “master key” from Matthew 11:28-30, reminding us that while God’s calling may carry weight, His yoke is never crushing. If the burden you’re carrying is leaving you exhausted and defeated, it may be time to ask whether it’s a burden God gave you or one the world placed on you. God desires for us to walk in His purpose with peace, strength, and confidence, knowing that the keys He gives always lead to greater freedom.
